I will keep you informed as to progress.  This is essentially a book of two halves - the Before and the After - and chronicles the journey my family and I had to undertake before, during and after the illness and ultimate death of my son from osteosarcoma. Not at all easy to write, and not easy to read, however I hope that it will help others going through something similar.

Such a lovely face, and a beautiful Soul
A heart full of grace, you made me feel whole.
Now that you're gone, a piece of me has gone too.
That gap can't be filled by anyone but you.

I know my life must go on; there are others that I love
But the light you gave out was white as a dove.
Let your light shine on now, as it always shone.

Angela by name, an Angel at heart,
So very special, right from the start.
Loving and giving, so kind and so fair,
Whenever you’re needed you always are there.


Your light shines through the rain,
Easing other’s pain,
Through our grief and sorrow,
Giving us the promise
of a brighter tomorrow.


For you we feel so much love and pride,
As from other’s needs you never hide;
Knowing just what to do,
Though your heart is broken too.


Putting others always first,
How you do it I can’t tell,
Yes, truly an Angel by heart,
We named you so very well.
